Every hour you give gets us closer to a hunger-free, healthy North Texas. Follow the steps below to volunteer.

Distribution Center  
(Perfect for individuals and groups up to 125 people; age 8+)

Millions of meals are distributed through our Partner Agencies and feeding programs thanks to our distribution center volunteers. Sort and pack food at our new facility located in Plano, Tuesdays - Saturdays: 9:00 - 11:30 a.m. and 1:00 - 3:30 p.m. Please select the appropriate group size to begin signing up: Individuals or Groups of 4 or less | Groups of 5+

Mobile Pantry

(Perfect for individuals and groups up to 10 people; age 16+)

Join us rain or shine as we work outdoors to feed families in need. Volunteers assist with crowd control, greeting clients, bagging food and cleaning up. Shifts are usually 3 hours long and take place in various locations across North Texas. View Mobile Pantry opportunities.

Nutrition Services

(Perfect for individuals and groups of various size; age requirements vary)

Join the fight against hunger by teaching a Cooking Matters class, distributing food assistance materials, translating nutrition workshops or by helping a local garden.  Explore the Nutrition Services calendar to learn more about each opportunity, the requirements needed to participate and available shifts. Special Events

(Perfect for individuals and groups of various sizes; age requirements vary)

NTFB benefits from hundreds of community events every year.  Volunteer needs vary and can include duties such as setting up, registration, bag check, crowd control, merchandise sales, manning a booth, refreshments, greeting guests, tear down, etc.  Come and be part of the festivities. School Pantry

(Perfect for individuals and groups up to 10 people; age 16+)

During the school year, we deliver shelf-stable food and produce to partner elementary schools on a monthly basis.  Extra hands are needed to help carry 30-60 pounds of food to the cars of hungry families.  Volunteers must pass a background check. View School Pantry volunteer opportunities.

Administrative Projects

(Perfect for individuals; age 16+)

Help with mailings, database entry, courtesy calls and other clerical duties in our offices.  View Administrative Project volunteer opportunities.

Social Media Ambassadors

(Perfect for individuals; age typically is 18+)

NTFB is looking for social media-savvy people in North Texas to help us spread the word about hunger and our mission to feed food insecure children, families and seniors in our community. You could help us connect with new supporters who are interested in supporting our work to fight hunger in North Texas! Learn more about becoming a NTFB Social Media Ambassador.
