About the North Texas Food Bank

What We Do
Founded in 1982, the North Texas Food Bank (NTFB) is a Dallas nonprofit hunger relief organization that distributes donated, purchased and prepared foods through a network of more than 200 Partner Agencies in 13 counties. As a member of Feeding America, we support the nutritional needs of children, families and seniors through education, advocacy and strategic partnerships.

We strive to be the best nonprofit. Including access provided through SNAP application services, NTFB provides access to nearly 200,000 nutritious meals every day.

Our Vision
A hunger-free, healthy North Texas.

Our Mission
To close the hunger gap in North Texas by providing access to nutritious food.

Our Values

  • Integrity - We are accountable, committed, and we strive for excellence.
  • Compassion - We are mission-focused, passionate, and advocates for those who need us.
  • Collaboration - We are innovative, team players and committed to respecting others.

Our Impact
Last year, we provided access to almost 77 million nutritious meals. We have a network of more than 200 Partner Agencies and provide access to food at hundreds of feeding locations across our 13 counties.

Our Effectiveness
Every dollar donated to NTFB provides access to three healthy meals for hungry North Texans, and 94 percent of every dollar goes directly to hunger relief programs.
