Shining for Food April 11, 2010 9:45 a.m.-3 p.m. Family Fitness Nights February 16 & March 25 Kimberlin Academy is hosting a “Family Fitness Night” with special guest Tracey from Season 8 of the Biggest Loser. We hope to inspire others to reach their weight-loss goals by participating in the Biggest Losers’ Pound for Pound Challenge. Together as a community, we can “Lose Nationally and Give Locally.” Kimberlin already participates in Food for Kids program with the North Texas Food Bank. We are challenging our families to pledge 1000 pounds and hope to challenge other schools to join us.

Move For Hunger is a non-profit organization that works with moving companies across the country to help support the efforts of local food banks. Move For Hunger has partnered with local mover, Crown Relocations, to collect unopened food from those who are selling their homes and relocating. Crown Relocation’s professional moving staff will assist in boxing the donations, and make a monthly donation to the North Texas Food Bank.

Entertainment will include a variety of artists ranging from gospel, rock & roll and Tejano bands. The headlining artist will be Chuck Mangione, a Grammy Award winner. Come out and enjoy a variety of foods, vendors and entertainment for the entire family, while supporting the North Texas Food Bank and other charities.
