Souper Bowl of Caring
January 15th – February 5th, 2012
Take part in one of the biggest food drives in the history of Texas! Supported by Market Street, Albertsons, Kroger, and Tom Thumb, Souper Bowl of Caring has set a goal of raising over 1 million pounds of food for the Tarrant Area and North Texas Food Banks in 2012!
There are several ways to get involved:
• Announce! – Make an announcement at your church, school, or club that you will be collecting donations the next week which will be delivered to the North Texas Food Bank or your charity of choice. Please report your total to www.souperbowl.org or 1-800-358-SOUP (7687).
• Donate! – Visit a local Market Street, Albertsons, Kroger, or Tom Thumb to make a donation. Pre-packaged bags of non-perishables will be available to purchase and donate, and cash donations may be made at the registers.
• Volunteer! – Volunteer at a local grocery store on Super Bowl weekend to tell shoppers about the food drive and encourage them to make donations!

Now in its third year, the Pound For Pound Challege has partnered with NBC’s The Biggest Loser, General Mills, and Subway, to encourage Americans to “Lose Nationally, Feed Locally.” And we need your support to make our involvement a success! Simply sign up and pledge your weight loss goals at www.pfpchallenge.com. For every pound you pledge, the Pound for Pound Challenge will donate 11 cents to Feeding America – enough to secure one pound of groceries for North Texans in need. It’s a great opportunity for you to do something good for yourself and your community.
