Souper Bowl of Caring January 7 - February 1
Take part in one of the biggest food drives in the history of Texas! Supported by Albertsons, Central Market, Kroger, and Tom Thumb, Souper Bowl of Caring has set a goal of raising over one million pounds of food for the Tarrant Area and North Texas Food Banks in 2009! There are several ways to get involved:
- Announce! – Make an announcement at your church, school, or club that you will be collecting donations the next week which will be delivered to the charity of your group’s choice. Please report your total to www.souperbowl.org or 1-800-358-SOUP (7687).
- Donate! – Visit a local Albertsons, Kroger, Tom Thumb, or Central Market to make a donation. Pre-packaged bags of non-perishables will be available to purchase and donate, and cash donations may be made at the registers.
- Volunteer! – Volunteer at a local grocery store on Super Bowl weekend to tell shoppers about the food drive and encourage them to make donations.

Long John Silver’s/Sesame Street Fundraiser
January 26 through March 1
Long John Silver’s in partnership with Sesame Street Live is helping to close the gap on hunger! Beginning January 26 through March 1, visit your nearest Long John Silver’s location and receive a Sesame Street coloring book when you make a $1 donation to the North Texas Food Bank. Every $1 donated will provide 4 meals to those in need.
