Please Help Us Prepare for the Hungriest Summer Months!

As the economic recession continues to force hardworking North Texans out of their jobs, more families and individuals are turning to our 291 North Texas Food Bank Member Agencies for help than ever before. A recent survey of our agencies showed an average 36% increase in the number of new clients seeking help. And as we head into summer, the hungriest season of the year, the most vulnerable among us are often our children, who lose the support of free or reduced price breakfasts and lunches at school.

The North Texas Food Bank is still facing a shortfall as a result of not meeting our critical fundraising goals during the holiday season. To continue to meet the increased demand for food in our community and maintain our summer feeding programs for children, including expanded Kids Cafe and Food 4 Kids services (which collectively provide 11,000 meals each week), we need your support now more than ever.
