The North Texas Food Bank (NTFB) is a nonprofit center for food distribution. The NTFB is a nonprofit center for food distribution that procures donated surplus food and transfers it in usable quantities to over 678 feeding and education programs in 13 North Texas counties.
These programs include food pantries, soup kitchens and shelters, after-school programs, senior citizen centers and other social service centers.
Last year, 32 million pounds of food were distributed. Each month, agency pantries distributed food to more than 43,000 families, and on-site meal programs served 410,000 meals/snacks.
Every dollar donated to the North Texas Food Bank provides $10 worth of grocery products for the hungry. Only three cents out of each dollar is used in administration and fundraising; 97 cents is used in food distribution. The North Texas Food Bank has distributed more than 362 million pounds of food since it was formed in 1982.

From there William went on to serve his country in the United States Marine Corp working directly for the Director of Base Food Service where he served as Office Manager for the Directors of Base, 1st Service Support Group and Division Food Service.
Prior to working for the North Texas Food Bank, William worked at one of our Member Agencies where he helped in the capacity of Community Living Instructor.
